How to Invite Members: Single Invite and CSV Import

A complete guide for Chapter Admins — how to send individual email invitations, import a CSV of multiple emails, and track invite status.

Who Can Invite Members

Only Chapter Admins and Super Admins can invite new members to a chapter. Regular Business Owner members do not have access to the Invite Members page.

To access it: click "Admin" in the left navigation (visible only to admins), then select "Invite Members."

The Platform-Wide Email Restriction

Before sending invitations, be aware of a platform-wide rule: each email address can only be registered once across all chapters on Golden Connects.

If you attempt to invite an email address that is already registered — whether in your chapter or another — the invitation will be declined automatically with a clear error message. There is no workaround for this. Each person can have exactly one Golden Connects account.

Single Invite

The Single Invite flow is the default tab when you arrive on the Invite Members page. Use it when you want to invite one person at a time.

Steps: 1. Type the member's email address in the input field 2. Click "Send Invite" 3. The system sends a branded invitation email to that address 4. The invite appears in the Sent Invites list below with a "Pending" status

The invitation email contains a secure link valid for 7 days. When the recipient clicks the link, they are taken to an account creation form where they enter their full name, password, business name, designation, phone, and city.

If the invitation expires before they accept, you can send a new one.

CSV Import

For larger batches of invitations, use the CSV Import tab. This lets you invite many members at once without typing each email address individually.

Steps: 1. Switch to the "Import CSV" tab 2. Click the upload area and select your CSV or TXT file 3. The system automatically extracts all email addresses from the file — one per line, or anywhere in the text 4. Review the list of extracted emails before sending 5. Click "Send Invites" to send the batch

What format works: Any CSV or plain text file where email addresses are present. The parser uses a regex to find valid email addresses regardless of the surrounding structure. Column headers, commas, and other text are ignored.

What to expect: The system sends invites sequentially and shows a live progress bar. If any individual invite fails (e.g., email already registered), it is logged in an error list at the end. Successful invites still go through.

After the batch completes, all successfully sent invites appear in the Sent Invites history below.

Tracking Invite Status

The Sent Invites list at the bottom of the page shows every invitation you have sent, with the following statuses:

Pending: The invitation has been sent but not yet accepted. The link is still valid.

Accepted: The recipient has clicked the link and created their account. They are now an active member of your chapter.

Expired: The 7-day window has passed without the recipient accepting. Send a new invitation if you still want them to join.

Revoked: The invitation was revoked before acceptance. This prevents the original link from being used.

Filter or scroll the list to find specific invitations. The sent date and expiry date are displayed for each invite.

What the Invited Member Receives

The invitation email is branded with the Golden Connects logo and includes: - A welcome message noting which chapter they are being invited to - A "Accept Invitation" button that links to the account creation page - A clear statement that the link expires in 7 days

The account creation page pre-fills the email address (non-editable) and asks the new member to enter their full name, password, business name, designation, city, and phone number. Once submitted, their account is created and they are redirected to the dashboard.
