Sharing Your Chapter Join Link and Reviewing Applications

How Chapter Admins share the unique join link, what applicants see, and how to review, approve, or reject incoming membership applications.

What Is the Chapter Join Link?

Every chapter on Golden Connects has a unique, permanent join link — a URL that anyone can use to apply for membership in your chapter without needing a direct email invitation.

Unlike the email invite flow (which requires the admin to initiate), the join link lets prospective members discover Golden Connects and apply on their own initiative. You share the link, they apply, and you review each application before any account is created.

The join link format is: goldenconnects.com/join/[unique-token]

The token is permanent and specific to your chapter. Sharing it once is enough — you do not need to regenerate it.

Finding and Copying Your Join Link

To access your chapter's join link:

1. Go to the Admin section → Invite Members 2. The join link appears in a blue panel at the top of the Invite Member tab 3. Click "Copy" to copy it to your clipboard

The link is ready to paste into WhatsApp messages, LinkedIn posts, email signatures, your website, or anywhere else you communicate with prospective members.

Where to Share the Link

The join link is most effective when shared in contexts where prospective members have already had some exposure to you or your chapter:

WhatsApp chapter groups or business groups: A brief message explaining that your chapter is accepting new members, with the join link, can generate several applications quickly.

LinkedIn posts: Share the link with context about what the chapter does and who it is for. Target business owners in your city or industry.

Email signatures: Adding the join link to your chapter admin email signature creates a passive, always-on recruiting channel.

Chapter website or social media profiles: If your chapter has its own presence, the join link is the natural call to action on a "Join Us" page.

In-person events: Share the link at networking events, business meetups, or chamber of commerce gatherings. Members can open it on their phone immediately.

What Applicants See

When someone opens the join link, they see a clean, branded application form showing:

  • Your chapter name and location
  • A three-field form: Full Name, Email Address, Business Name

They fill in their details and click "Submit Application." They immediately see a confirmation screen telling them that their application has been received and that they will hear back by email.

Duplicate protection: If someone submits with an email that is already a member of your chapter, they see a message: "You are already a member of this chapter." If they have already submitted an application that is pending, they see: "Your application is already under review." This prevents duplicate applications and duplicate accounts.

Reviewing Applications

All submitted applications land in the Applications tab on the Invite Members page.

To review applications: 1. Go to Admin → Invite Members 2. Click the "Applications" tab 3. You will see all pending applications with each applicant's name, email, business name, and the date they applied

Each application card has two action buttons: Approve and Reject.

Approving an Application

When you approve an application:

1. A member account is automatically created for the applicant with Business Owner role 2. A welcome email is sent to the applicant with a secure "Set My Password" link, valid for 7 days 3. The applicant clicks the link, sets their password, and lands on the dashboard as a new member

You do not need to do anything else — account creation, email sending, and Give Score initialisation all happen automatically on approval.

Rejecting an Application

When you reject an application, a polite rejection email is sent to the applicant informing them that the application was not approved at this time. The email does not disclose the reason — it is neutral and professional.

After rejection, the application disappears from your pending list. The applicant is welcome to apply again in the future if circumstances change (e.g., they are invited personally later).

The Daily Digest Email

You do not need to log in every day to check for new applications. Golden Connects sends a daily digest email at 9:00 AM to all Chapter Admins listing the current pending applications — names, emails, and business names.

The digest is sent only on days when there are pending applications waiting for review. On days with no pending applications, no email is sent.

Click "Review Applications" in the digest email to go directly to the Applications tab.
